Farming, a labour of love

Introduction

Today, on Valentine’s Day, we want to take a moment to express our love and appreciation for farming, a labour of love. We have seen firsthand how farming can bring joy, abundance, and satisfaction to people’s lives.

Farming is a labour of love. It’s hard work and takes a lot of dedication and skill to succeed, but the rewards are so worth it. Farming offers a unique connection between people and the land, from the taste of fresh, homegrown vegetables to the smell of freshly turned soil.

Quote from a team member

God said " I need someone willing to get up before dawn, milk cows, work in the fields all day, milk cows again, eat supper, and then work again” That's what I love about helping farmers, because of the respect I have for their hard work! - Elizma Fourie, Customer Success Manager

A Labour Of Love

Farming is a great way to build a strong, local economy. By supporting local farms, you’re helping to create jobs and strengthen your local community. Plus, when you purchase local produce, you’re helping to ensure the sustainability of the land and its resources. Farming is also a great way to build relationships. The relationships you can build through farming are truly special, whether with the land itself or the people visiting the farm.

Farmers are the backbone of the memories we have formed with our friends and family, that tjoppie that you throw on the fire, that potato salad that your mom always makes on a Sunday, that signature carrot cake that reminds you of Christmas, all made possible by each member of the agriculture industry.

Quote from a team member

"Every small effort I make to help farmers become more efficient accumulates over time and can greatly impact food security and the preservation of our planet." - Luke Kroon, Founder

Conclusion

So, today, on Valentine’s Day, we want to express our love and appreciation for farming. It’s a labour of love with so much to offer, and we are grateful for all it brings. From the connections and relationships it builds to the abundance it brings, farming is an incredible way to enrich our lives!
